IAEA DG on deal with Iran

IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei has issued a public statement about the deal to supply fuel to the Tehran Research Reactor (video below). He is hopeful that by Friday there has been full agreement by all parties. France remains a part of the deal.

The Background Briefing below was issued today in Geneva and states that Iran has agreed “in principle” to shipping the bulk of its existing low enriched uranium (LEU) stockpile to Russia where it will be further enriched for use in the Tehran Research Reactor.
